Shannon holds a BA in Philosophy from Furman University, and a PH. D in philosophy from The Pennsylvania State University and is currently Associate Professor of Philosophy at Mount Mary College in Milwaukee, WI. She is also an author, lecturer, and Fulbright Scholar. She is a certified martial
arts instructor holding a 1st Degree Blackbelt in Taekwondo. Shannon particularly enjoys teaching personal safety and
awareness to girls and women in a leadership context. She holds a 2010 National Title in Women's Single Stick Kali
Arnis Escrima and is a member of the 2010 US Nationals Escrima Team. In July 2010 she will represent the United State
and compete for a World Title in Puerta Vallarta, Mexico.
